Lancôme Juicy Tubes Set Review!

I've never really looked into the brand Lancôme until just before Christmas, A family friend bought me a large Lancôme Juicy tube in the shade Fraise and I absolutely adored it but the colour wasn't the most wearable (for me) so I forgot about it. Previous to this though I'd never really looked or "cared" for the brand, until now..

L-R
 Marshmallow Electra, Pamplemousse, Lychee, Fraise.

For my 17th birthday which was last week, I was bought a Lancôme Juicy tubes Gift set with 4 small glosses in 4 beautiful shades. I love getting presents I don't expect and really didn't expect any makeup as I'd received loads for Christmas unexpectedly and didn't specifically ask for anything, so as I unwrapped the paper and saw the 4 glittery glosses I knew my love for the Lancôme Juicy Tubes was about to be re-visited. But this time in more neutral shades.

The set retails for around £18 which comes to £4.50 per 7ml gloss, which I think is a great price especially for Lancôme products which are known for quality. The sizes of the products are great for a "throw in your makeup bag gloss" kind of product there really handy and have a good amount of product to last a while as I never seem to use up any lip glosses now that I think about it.
The formulation of the glosses is slightly "sticky" when it's been applied for a while but when first applied it isn't very sticky at all, I don't mind the stickiness really as it stays on the lips foooorevverrr!

Apologies for the pictures, this one shows the colours a little bit better :l

The pigmentation of the glosses is fabulous also, my favourite is defiantly the shade "Pamplemousse", it's a beautiful everyday 'your lips but better' shade that looks like a lip balm but lasts 10 times longer. I love the other colours obviously but that's defiantly my fave. I've got the larger tube of fraise which is also a beautiful colour but isn't the most wearable as it has a lot of shimmer and the colour is very bright saying that if you use this on the inner lips with a tinted lip balm it could be more wearable. 'Lychee' and 'Marshmallow Electra' I find very stereotypical colours they're a blue toned light pink and a typical Barbie pink, (im not complaining or saying they're not nice just not my favourite)

Overall the Set is great value the colour pigmentation is amazing and the formulation lasts hours! The colours are reasonably wearable and they will last years (literally).

Overall 7/10 for the set only because I feel the colours could be a little more adventurous but for a 'pretty pinks' set its brill!

P.S
Hope your all enjoying my posts, let me know any recommendations and any improvements, im open to constructive criticism :) also these aren't my images my Google+ has gone a bit crazy so I can't upload images from my camera until it's fixed soon. (fingers crossed)

hope to see you soon,

FOTD, My Daily Face Routine.

Face of the day.

1. I start with my face wash and cleanser I do this every morning and at the minute im using Neutrogena Visibly clear cream wash, and Garnier fresh essentials for normal to combination skin, these products are amazing, I particularly love the cream face wash the fresh smell of grapefruit really wakes you up on a morning and makes your skin feel extra clean the cleanser is good as well, just a regular cleanser really (it has nothing on Liz Earle cleanse and polish though).

2. Next is my Dr.Jart BB cream I got in a Glossybox, its really nice goes on really nice and doesn't feel sticky, I like using BB creams especially in winter as they give a bit more protection and moisture in the cold dry months. I then apply my Porefessional around my nose (as this is my BIG pore area), words really do not describe this product it's like heaven, and I literally stand there for 5 minutes just massaging this around my face it feels like clouds. (well what I would imagine clouds feel like)

3.Foundation. I use a mix of L'Oreal Lumi magique (Gold Linen) and Maybelline dream satin liquid (Ivory), I use about half a pump of lumi magique and 1-2 pumps of Maybelline as it gives out a small amount of product. I like this mix, as it gives the gorgeous dewy, serum feel of the lumi magique but the slightly higher coverage feel of the satin liquid, and the colour works better than just on or the other. I then put either my Boi-ing concealer around my nose and chin (I have a little bit of discolouration under my chin :l) and then my Collection 200 lasting perfection under my eyes - I've only recently started using collection 200 concealer and I must say it is brilliant, totally cancels out any blemishes.

Dirty foundation lid. :(

4. Next up my favourite EYEBROWS! My eyebrows are the one area of my face a slightly like, they have a nice shape and seem quite thick. I use my Browzings Kit from Benefit to fill them in, using light strokes with my real techniques brow brush - I use the powder side as I think the wax side is a little bit to dark and cakey sometimes, then set my brows with the ELF wet gloss - brilliant product for £1.50

My makeup is so clean?

5.I then use my Hoola Bronzer to slightly sculpt my face - I don't really contour just use a big fluffy brush to gently bronze the whole face focusing on my cheekbones and temples, but not too strong just a subtle hint of contouring. Then I used the Glossybox blush in the shade 'Glossy Rosewood' - the blush is made by Kryolan so it feels very fancy :)- I've never really been into blushes as I always seem rosy cheeked anyway but when I got this in my Glossybox I loved it straight away, its more of a contouring blush shade which I love, it super nice -  I apply very lightly at the back of my cheeks with a random Hugo Boss Femme brush I've had for years.

6. I then powder my T-zone with the Collection 200 sheer loose powder - not the best powder in the world but it does the job - I just use my previous big fluffy brush the combat the oiliness. (ew)

7.Today I used my Maybelline Colour tattoo in the shade Pink gold as a base then applied 2 colours from my MUA heaven and earth palette (4th from the right top and bottom of the palette) in the crease, it was a very random eye look tbh. I love the colour tattoo's I think they're nicely pigmented and are great as a base -  they also make the crease colours easier to blend. I used - you guessed it- my real techniques deluxe crease brush and accent brush to apply the shadows and give them a good old blend.
Can you guess I love real techniques yet?

8.Highlight.. I used a random brush from my collection to add a little highlight to my cheeks and temples, using the one and only MSF soft and gentle. I love this product - I didn't like it at first as I thought it was literally just glitter and it kinda scared me but I've learned how to work it - as you may know im not the typical MAC lover but I do love this product when it's applied correctly.

9.I then apply my eyeliner I use the Rimmel soft Kohl eyeliner half way across my waterline then I use my Chanel (fancy) Blanc eyeliner to kind of blend the black out on the other half of my water line and gradient my eyeliner and turn it to more of a grey this also highlights my inner corners and gives a little bit of definition. It sounds strange but it's really nice.

10. Mascara, First I curl my eyelashes with my NO7 eyelash curler then I use a mixture of mascaras -  any 2 I pick up really -  today I picked up Bad gal Lash and Maybelline The great Lash, 2 lovely mascaras, they gave a nice relaxed, natural look but very high in volume. I really liked it.
For a better review check out my top 10 mascaras *hinthint

11. Lastly I usually wear a lip balm or lip stain as I hate the tedious task of re-applying lipsticks all day, today I chose my Revlon just bitten kissable lip balm stain in the colour 'Honey'. I love this product it's really easy you can apply this on the go without a mirror it so simple, easy and cheap. The colour is really gorgeous too. It's literally my dream product, and it smells of mint which is a bonus.

And that's it my face routine, this usually takes me about 30 minutes (which includes my excessive blending) so this could be easily done in 20 minutes, which is great on those mornings were you really can be bothered to get out of bed but still want to look pretty...

Thanks everyone

MUA 50% off sale! (Closed) and terrible customer services!!!

MUA has always been the stand in superdrug that i always look at but never buy from i thought it would be just like the '2true' stand thats just full of tacky cheap makeup, but a few months ago after hearing endless good reviews on the heaven and earth palette i had to pick it up (for £4 it was an absolute steal), the pigmentation and colours in the palette are beautiful and such good quality, very similar colours to the naked palette so its a great alternative for those on a budget. After hearing on twitter about a 50% sale and free shipping on the MUA website i had to start filling my basket, iadded anything and everything as most of there stock ranges from £1-£2 so after adding about 20+ products my basket only totalled to around £12.

Ive heard a lot about the lipsticks from MUA so picked up a few of those aswell as the extremely weird looking fur nails kit, in a burgundy colour, (i thought i'd give it a try). A couple concealers, lip glosses, a palette and some nail caviar ended the basket, it felt amazing adding truck loads of products and the price only increasing by 50p each time, and the free shipping was a bonus.

I'll be doing a first impressions review on my MUA haul, in the up coming weeks, so i hope you'll look out for that but be sure to check out the MUAwebsite for the sale and enter the code MUA50 for your 50% off..

I ended up not purchasing any makeup due to the website being shut down throughout the day, this resulted in a very strongly worded email to MUA, extremely disappointed 😐...

i did purchase a mountain of products from superdrug though, so yey.

UPDATE: MUA are the worst beauty brand i have ever purchased from the customer services are terrible and order deliveries and timings are horrendous. I am sorry if you orderd due to this review, i apologise but i am having trouble with the compmay at the current times as they won't give me a refund of an order i 'never' placed!!

TERRIBLE!!

See you soon

Snowy, hot chocolate PJ's day!!

Today, I stayed off college in a attempt to feel better, my sore throat and 'not 100% feeling' has just never gone away for weeks now so as I woke up at 8.00am to the sound of the dreaded alarm to then receive a text from several of my friends saying things along the lines of "im not going in" "are you going in?" "it's snowing, im not even attempting  the bus" (hahah) I decided to take the day off and have a stress-free day..

So naturally I fell straight back to sleep,

As I woke up to the beautiful scenes of white cotton snow coating anything and everything in sight from my hilltop view spreading over my whole town, I knew today was a relaxing (what I like to call) food day!!

I've never been on my beloved Sims in months, which is shocking for me but honestly ive just been suuuper busy with college work  :( So today I dedicated my whole day to uploading all my disks onto my new laptop (which im still getting used to after having my old laptop for 7 years) and making families and businesses to my hearts content.

This post was a bit random but I just thought id tell you about my day, I feel so lucky tbh to have had a stress-free relaxed day looking at the snow and drinking gallons of hot chocolate (January diet has already been thrown out the window). As relaxing days are becoming less and less the more I progress through college..

Today has been a good day and I hope you will be happy to know that I have pre written some more reviews and favourites so I hope you will be reading those in the near future,
Hope your all enjoying the snow!!

See you soon chummies,

Top 5 favourite mascaras and review!!

Hello beauty lovers, today im writing this from my beautiful bedroom wrapped up cosily with a hot chocolate and watching the snow fall outside. (jealous?)
I was looking through my vast makeup collection and decided I have a fair few mascaras that I love and hate so thought id upload my first favourites to the blogosphere!! yeyyyyyy

1. My favourite Mascara of all time is definatly without a doubt, Avon super enchant, a bit of a strange and un common choice I know but never the less my fave mascara. I love this little baby. The curvy brush makes a real difference and the formulation is brilliant it gives a beautiful length and volumises your lashes beyond belief, I love it and have lost count on the amount of times I've re-purchased. Unfortunately this mascara has been discontinued for some time now and is only available from the odd seller on eBay or Amazon...
I genuinely thought about making a petition to Avon for the continuance of this mascara but thought I might be taking it too far? :(((((((((((((((((((((((((((

9/10

(lost one mark for how upset they made me by discontinuing, shame on you Avon, shame on you)

2. Next is my newest mascara the fabulous Maybelline The rocket volum' express
I've always used Maybelline mascaras (in fact they were my first mascara) and I've always thought they were just okay, they did the job and that was that. This was an impulse buy at the checkout and admittedly I only bought it because  the packaging looked pretty (oops), I'd never heard any reviews of it and never even knew there was a new mascara out at the time, which is very un common if your as addicted to social media and YouTube as I am. But I tried as soon as I got home and loved it instantly the formula is very watery which is a slight downside but I love the way it lengthens my lashes they look suuuppperrr long when im wearing this and I've even gathered some compliments on the length and curl of my lashes (which is always a good sign). The removal is also very easy.

The price was an average at £7.99 the mascara is well worth it in my eyes and will defiantly be re purchasing in the near future!!

7/10 (Good mascara overall but can be too watery when applying on lower lashes)

3. The infamous Bad Gal Lash by the beautiful Benefit..
This mascara is amazeballs, gives a good curl, length and volume ratio The formula is very thick and doesn't give spidery lashes or clumps (I don't like the brush though), just a good everyday mascara I wouldn't say this was a mascara to use for a night out as it just gives a natural, sensible length, and the price is slightly eccentric for a mascara as I don't think its the best mascara I have but I use it a lot for college and just lazy days I general, I would be lost without it but I do have better ones I guess...

This is the less subtle day version of the Rocket volum' macara which gives the same effect but longer and fuller and curlier for nights out kinda thing... (if you understand that.. well done)

7/10

4. Maybelline The great lash waterproof, the golden oldie..

This mascara has been around for years and has always been raved about, and it was in fact my first mascara, I love it, it gives a gorgeous 'just enough' look, and has the most amazing brush for the bottom lashes, which is hard to find. The small brush gives you the ability to get the stubborn corner lashes a good coat as well  which is great, I love this mascara and will always have one in my makeup box. Its like the rich tea biscuit of the mascara world, everyone has them and likes them but its not there favourite (I do love a rich tea)

6/10

5. Maybelline Illegal Length mascara,

Maybelline is a recurring theme in my mascaras I always find there mascaras great value and the product is generally pretty good. This was no exception, it was great the brush wasn't my favourite as I found it too long and thin but the formulation and length it gives is amazing, reallllly good for lengthening can I just exaggerate..
Just another good Maybelline mascara really, but really good for length as it says in the title.

5/10 (for curl and volume)
7/10 (for length)

Hope you liked it
See you soon chummies,

Benefit : How to look the best at everything Review

The packaging is soooo beautiful!! (drools)
Benefit is my all time favourite beauty brand, its so beautiful the packaging and products just ooze class and quality. Benefit Browzings was my first self purchased high end beauty product that I still to this day swear by, I bought it at the tender age of 13 and it changed my life (slit exaggeration but its really is amazing)

As I bought it handing over £23 seemed like a lot for this little black box of a simple powder and wax. But oh how I was wrong, as the money  left my hand the beauty addiction began, I started searching youtube for everything and anything with the word 'makeup' in the title then subscriptions began and that was it I was addicted.

Recently for Christmas I was given the Benefit How to look the best at everything kit, from my godmother. It was an unexpected gift as I never really get makeup for xmas I usually just buy my own throughout the year. But as I opened the box I knew id love it, it contained a small Porefessional, hello flawless oxygen wow foundation 2 shades of the infamous boi-ing concealer and hello flawless powder. Just what I needed.

I'd always wanted to try the porefessional as id heard amazing things about it but id never had problems with large pores until just before xmas ironically, and I planned to purchase it with my Christmas money. The porefessional is amazing it glides on like silk and closes the pores to within an inch of there life. It gives a great base for all skin types, personally i never have a problem with my foundation but if anything the staying power of my foundation never lasts and with my freckles full coverage just isn't an option, since using the porefessional religiously I've noticed my foundation staying on a lot longer and just looking 100% better and more flawless. Ammmmmmazzzzziiiinnnnnggggg!!!

Next I tried the Oxygen wow foundation, I used my real techniques expert face brush to apply it, and expected amazing things from the foundation as id heard it was brilliant, but to be honest it wasn't my favourite, maybe its due to my outstanding love for my Loreal Lumi Magique foundation but I felt it didn't apply smoothly and was rather patchy on my combination skin. I don't really have any blemishes to cover as ive never been prone to spots or acne just my freckles and the odd red patch to cover, but I found the coverage limited, I used two pumps as it is the small tester size I thought 2 pumps should be sufficient but I felt I would need at least 3 to get a full face coverage! I was overall disappointed, however i did like the satin feel and colour match of the foundation it just didn't live up to my expectations, which i was really disappointed in considering this was my first try of a benefit foundation.

Next up was boi-ing, id previously used boi-ing from my big beautiful eyes palette in e shade 03 but for some reason in my palette the formulation seemed to be verrrrryyy dry and powdery so i never really used it, so when i saw 2 shades in the kit i thought id give them another try and I'm glad i did.

They were totally different Benefit : How to look the best at everything Review not sure if the formulation has changed or i just had a bad pick in my eyes palette but my boiing concealers in shades 02 and 03 have been life savers, especially with my sleepless nights watching youtube and new girl mounting up. Boi-ing is definitely a must buy for a full coverage thick concealer, that makes dark circles and redness vanish!M

Next up is my favourite of the bunch the hello flawless powder in the shade 'I'm so bunny' honey (such a cute name!!) which also comes with a cute little powder brush. This powder is fabulous, it gives a gorgeous medium coverage un powdery and finish with a beautiful glow. I loooooveee it! It has a lot of yellowy tones so compliment all skin and gives a glowy, sun kissed look without looking too cakey. I have used this product everyday since christmas and absolutely adore it despite never really using anything other than a translucent powder beforehand just to set my oily t zone. (Ewww) i really cant praise this product enouugh and as soon as i run out (which will be soon) im running straight to my nearest benefit counter to stock back up.

Overall the kit is brilliant and for £24.50 your definatly getting your moneys worth, the sizes of the products are all very reasonable and individually packaged for easy storage (except the powder) and the concealers are in great little plastic case so can be easily thrown in your makeup bag for application. I love this kit.

9/10

(this kit lost a mark for the foundation expectations and the fact the powder is not individually packaged so is not easy to use on the go)

But overall verryy good

Well done benefit another great success!!

Hello beauty lovers...

Hello, im Sophie a 16 year old self proclaimed beauty, blog and YouTube addict (and proud of it!)
Im currently at sixth form, and I am studying English language, Media and Psychology. And im quite enjoying it..

For years I've envied bloggers for having there own little community of fashion and beauty. I've attempted blogs before, but I wasn't ready for the commitment and the criticism that comes with opinion writing. (ahaha)
Anywhoo, I guess im just writing to tell you guys a little bit about me and my makeup and beauty filled life, obviously I will be writing reviews and opinions on the latest beauty trends and products and maybe some fashion bits thrown  in there too, I've loved blogs for many years and had thousands accounts through out the years, but this is it ive finally started a blog (eeek)

I'm not your typical MAC girl who thinks MAC is the cure of alllllllll beauty mishaps. There are cheaper alternatives that are just as good or better for a third of the price (I am a student after all), I love to try out cheap, and reasonably priced makeup and beauty bits as well as occasionally splurging on the odd Benefit or MAC product, that my bank balance really doesn't love. (oops)

I'm a Superdrug girl at heart lets just say!!
I hope you will be following along with my beauty loving life and follow me on my journey into the blogosphere...
