L'oreal Glam Shine Stain Splash Review ♥

I have been 100% obsessed with the new L'Oreal Glam Shine Stain Splash in the shade 'lolita' for the past few weeks, it literally has not budged from my lips for 2 weeks.

Loyalty's go to Fleur for this picture, the packaging is so pretty but a murder to photo unless you have a very expensive camera which un-fortunately I do not have :(

It is the perfect mix between balm, stain, gloss and lipstick. It's a 4 in 1 product :D

The lastability (if that's a word) of the product is amazing, it stays on well up to 6 hours with no reapplication including the shine and the colour is beautiful and easily wearable for everyday. The product is not drying like a stain (which was a worry as lip stains do tend to be verrry drying, but lately they do seem to be getting more and more moisturising on the market). I just love this product, it's so easy and quick to throw on for college and gives the effect of a perfectly applied lipstick without the chore of applying a lipstick. The texture is very gel based I feel and goes on very thin and watery, but develops to more of a gloss texture, that can go slightly sticky after a few hours but a quick coat of a clear balm or another layer of the product sorts it right out.
The packaging is also to die for :)

A down side is that the colour range is not ideal, it does have a fair few colours but there not the most appropriate they're more orange/tangerine or purple based colours rather than pinks, although they're are some nice pinky shades in the collection they seem very similar.

The price is £7.99, which is well worth it as they're raved as a exact dupe for the YSL glossy stains which retail at over £25!!!

I honestly love this product it gives the lips everything you would want from a product, the colour pay off of a lipstick, the shine of a gloss, moisturising like a balm and stains the lips slightly for a rich deep colour!! It's perfecto for those mornings you want to look glamorous in less than 20 minutes!

L'Oreal products are currently on a 3 for 2 offer at Boots so be sure to check that out here

Hope you liked this post!

(Late) February Favourites ♥

Hello, it's been a while I know and im sooo sorry but it's been a hectic few week :(

February was such a quick month it felt like it was march before February even began but I guess it's one more month towards summer eyy?:)

NEVER FEAR FEB FAVES ARE HERE!!!

1. My first favourite is a Bath/shower cream from the brand 'Creightons' I've loved this bath cream for months now and I posted it on instagram monttthhhsss ago, but this month I discovered a new scent. Cherry and Wild fig, I am a complete and utter cherry fanatic and buy almost anything with the word in the title so when I saw this when stocking up on the heavenly buttery toffee gorgeousness that is the 'vanilla and macadamia cocoon' I had to buy it. The price is sooo reasonable and I love it soooo much. If I could make a perfume with any scent in the world it would 100% be vanilla and macadamia. Words cannot describe my love for this scent.

2. This month I purchased the infamous NAKED 2 PALETTE! don't ask why it took so long for me too buy it because I honestly don't know. But im soo glad I did! It is soo beautiful and luxurious. My favourite colour is 100% Tease I love purple on my eyes, and this colour is just perfect for the crease mixed with a little bit of snakebite. It's just a heavenly combination. I just love it. And bootycall is the perfect everyday colour just to throw on to give your eyes a bit of life.

4. If your not a fan of real techniques brushes your crazy! This month I purchased the big fluffy cotton candy Powder brush. It's beautiful and so big that you can literally apply powder to your whole face in one sweep. It's so soft and dense and just impeccable quality like all the Real Techniques brushes. It's fabulous. And I've really fallen in love with the blush brush as well, amazing for highlighting, blush and bronzer - multi purpose :)

5. Garnier recently brought out a range of moisturisers based on all different skin types. I saw the advert everywhere and my skin has been growing in oiliness the past month so I decided to try out the oily/combination moisturizer it was only £3.99 in my local Superdrug so it wasn't like I was losing much if it wasn't good. I got home and tried it out and it was brilliant, it has a gel/primer texture and is really nicely moisturising and lightly scented. I'm really enjoying it. I love gel moisturizers so it was a nice surprise to find it had a gel like consistency. I'm also using it as my primer at the moment and it's working really nicely aswell. I just think it's a brilliant product for the price. I haven't tried the other formulations but I've heard good things about them.

Tell me if you've tried any and did you like the consistency?

 6. Bit of a random one but this month I've literally not budged from my Converse, you can't really go wrong with converse and I think they're really flattering. I don't know why but I never wore them for months and then recently have just been wearing them to death. I got some new black ones last week, as my old ones are pretty battered now.

 7. This month has been a very much 1D obsessed month, with the tour starting and tour video's being uploaded I've literally spent all my spare time watching there tour.

I ♥ One Direction - Guilty :)

Hope you enjoyed my first monthly favourites!

See you soon

February the month of love or not in my case

Glossybox is my monthly obsession from the minute they send me the email to confirm the withdraw to the minute the lovely courier lady arrives to the door I am filled with excitement as to what the beautiful box will have in store.. I am usually pleasantly surprised with the products, as they're products what I wouldn't usually pick up but still love them (which I guess is the aim of the box: to try new products) this month was no different but instead of being pleasantly surprised I was just surprised by the box, not the best choices Glossybox NOT the best choices...

The packaging of the valentines boxes are always beautiful and this year was no different beautiful baby pink with a Barbie pink ribbon really got me in the mood for valentines day, but the products encased really didn't.

First item plucked from the box was an interesting shade of lipstick by the brand Helen E cosmetics, sparkly brown. WTF was my exact thoughts. I'm sorry but isn't valentines day about reds and pinks not brown.. I was really disappointed, I would never think of wearing brown sparkly lipstick, but thought I should give it a go before any hasty decisions were made. As I applied it to the lips, the formulation was very nice admittedly but the colour was just weird and made me look like I had dreaded 'concealer lips'. I hated it and also after a while the formulation began to separate and push to the outer lips. I really hated it.

Shade - Café au lait
Second was a small pot of mineral blush from the brand MICA Bella Cosmetics, as I opened up the pot I thought the shade looked really pretty it was an orangey peachy shade which isn't my usual blush shade so I thought it would be fun to experiment with, as I tapped some of the product into the lid I thought the shade would be perfect even as a highlight. Oh how I was wrong! On the cheeks the colour was more red than anything else. It made me look like a clown, and I only applied it lightly with a big fluffy brush. At this point I was verrry disappointed.
It looks pink here, but I assure you it is NOT.Shade - Terra Cotta

Next was a Eyeshadow Duo by the brand Model Co in the shade Bronzed Goddess, I had heard of this brand before so had some presumptions. The colours looked really nice in the pan a gorgeous Golden beige and a shimmery brown. Plain and simple exactly how I like it. So as I tried to pick up the colour on my eye shadow brush it had good colour pay off and looked beautiful on the lid. The golden colour was perfect as a highlight because it was soooo shimmery, and only gave a hint of colour. The Glossybox had gained some points I must admit. I loooooveeee this eye shadow. Verrry shimmery I just add and I may not use the brown all that much but the golden colour is my new addiction.

Next up was a Anatomicals Body cleanser, I had actually tried this product before and I loved it, so I was glad to get another bottle. It is branded as a rose smelling body wash/cleanser but tbh I can't really smell the rose (it might just be me) but I genuinely thought it was unscented when I first used it. None the less it's a good all round product, just a shower gel really. Does the Job.

Last up was a Hydrating crème from the brand Docteur Renaud, firstly the smell is divine!! Pure raspberry heaven. The formulation however is very thick which is good for dry skin but for my slightly oily/normal skin not hat good. I used it last night and it felt claggy on my face, I prefer serum textures on my face so it might just be my preferences but honestly I would re-purchase this product just for the smell. I love it. Wouldn't recommend it for combo to oily skin though.

Overall this months glossy box was very random, I enjoyed some of the products but others were terrible. I'm praying next months is better.  :D I did love the lolly though, very nice touch G.B

Top - Bottom of swatches, lipstick, blush, eye shadow duo.

What did you think of this months Glossybox? Did you receive any random lip colours?

Helllaww, this week I thought I'd talk to you about hair..

I have HUGGEEE what I like to call 'slight afro' hair, that is naturally wavy/curly but with a few products added has the potential to turn into a humongous afro beehive, and I love it. I like having big hair sometimes (admittedly) I does get to big and uncontrollable but with just a few trusty products It can be beautiful. My hair colour is in between things at the minute, I have a mousy brown hair naturally but a few months ago got a full head of blonde highlights.. I like it but think I might go back to a caramel (or not)

Anywhoo ,

Step 1. Wash and towel dry your hair (the night before you want to wear the curls) with your preferred shampoo and conditioner and preferably curl enhancing but this isn't necesary.

Herbal essences I <3 you.

Step 2. to controlling the 'fro apply a good oil treatment to the ends of towel dried/damp hair for some good old moisture. I use VO5 Miracle Concentrate Elixir - £5.19 - I use half of the "squeezy" tube thingy and just massage it into the ends of my hair, as I said before I have bleached my hair recently so all moisture is good moisture!!The elixir is also high in antioxidants and vitamin E so it's suuuper good for the hair, I was sceptical of buying this at first as the bottle is soo small but honestly it lasts foorevverrr so it's well worth the money.

Step 3. time for some salt, I have been using salt spray for years now it just defines the curls more and makes the hair more controllable (for me at least I know this is very much debated upon in the blogosphere) I've used most branded salt spray's and never found one that was better than the other so after researching on the internet I found a post explaining why salt spray's were 'a waste of money' and how to make your own, so I've been doing exactly that for the past year or so and honestly it's better than the branded salt sprays - this may sound stupid -  but literally all you do is mix salt with water, who would have thought eyy -insert eye roll here-
I use just regular sea salt which is readily available and filtered water and mix them together and put it into a spray bottle.
Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Step 4. last year I discovered a brand called 'Samy' whilst traipsing the aisles of Superdrug, the brand is most famous for it's "fat hair 0 calorie" hair products which are directed to volumising. I however use the 'curls' line which is blooming brilliant. I use 2 products the 'get curls, curl reactivator' and 'big curls, curl crème'. They're very affordable and last forever as you only need a tiny amount. I use a pea sized amount of the big curls crème and rub it between my fingers and scrunch it into my roots for some definition at the roots as this is where my curls tend to become less defined. I don't use both of these product's I use the curl crème on freshly washed hair and the curl reactivator on 2nd day hair, to obviously "reactivate the curls".

Step 5 this step isn't necessary but I use this every morning for a bit of a perk up, it's a shine spray you can use any but I like the L'Oreal Professional Crystal gloss Techni art which I was given  at my local hairdressers, it's not brilliant but it works and it has a really nice 'hairdresser smell' if you understand it smells professional and gives a good shine so I use it but any will do.

Now the best part - sleeeep - for as long as desired. Alternatively a diffuser can be used if your in a hurry but I try not to use heat to often.

And Voila Big bouncy Easy Beachy hair..

Tell me if this was useful to anyone and suggestions are welcome :)
Also if you've used any good curl products I'd love to try some more.

Oh and thank you all so much for the followers and views I'm overwhelmed :D

Lots of love
